We are Ipso Facto, a student-run study association for students from the bachelors Communication & Life Sciences and International Development Studies, and the masters International Development Studies and Development and Rural Innovation.
As a study association, we organise activities throughout the year, these vary from social activities to career-related events. Some examples are periodic drinks, game nights, trampoline jumping, but also (educational) movie nights, excursions, debates, a gala and parties. Besides these activities, there are also our legendary weekend-long activities, such as the first years’ weekend and the hitchhike weekend during Easter!
All these activities provide you with the opportunity to get to know your fellow students and take a break from studying. However, as mentioned before, these activities can also complement your study, help you with your future career and broaden your professional network!
The best thing about being a member of Ipso Facto is that you decide how involved you are! You may choose to only participate in the activities or you can choose to expand your abilities by becoming an active member of one of our 17 committees! Active involvement looks good on your CV and above all, it is a great way to get to know the association and all the other people involved!
